A corner of Europe in the heart of the city.
Barcelona Café drew from the warmth of a Mediterranean afternoon — the kind of place where the coffee is taken seriously and time slows down. The brief was to create a neighbourhood café that felt genuinely European without being a pastiche: something that earned its references through material quality and considered proportion.
The palette grounds itself in terracotta, aged timber, and warm plaster — surfaces that read as lived-in from day one. Tiled accents reference Catalan modernisme without being literal about it. Seating was arranged to allow both intimacy and visibility, encouraging the kind of lingering that keeps a café alive through the afternoon lull.
